In the 15th minute, Rick de Boer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laurens Bouwman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 19 minutes, Mathijs Lindeman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gaasten's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mathijs Lindeman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Passenrot FC's Dries de Freitas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathijs Lindeman in the 21st minute of play. Mathijs Lindeman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Dries de Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute of the match Werner Stok sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dries de Freitas skillfully saved the ball. 34 minutes in the game, Mathijs Lindeman fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Dries de Freitas having to interfere. Mathijs Lindeman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dries de Freitas having to interfere. Klaas Jan Rekers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Dries de Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The wind increased when Mathijs Lindeman made the kick off in the second half. Fred Stam might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Laurens Bouwman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fred Stam ran back to his position shaking his head. Rick de Boer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Laurens Bouwman came out and tried to block the shot, but Rick de Boer slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 58th minute. Hendrik Woudenberg hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute Klaas Jan Rekers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dries de Freitas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fred Stam got free with Laurens Bouwman in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rick de Boer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Laurens Bouwman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fred Stam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurens Bouwman having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Passenrot FC's Fred Stam ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Laurens Bouwman. Passenrot FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Passenrot FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Passenrot FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
