Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jan Hendrik Breinburg got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Bovendijks's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Hendrik Breinburg came free, but Nick Boerma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Menno Pruischer charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Menno Pruischer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Bovendijks getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Menno Pruischer hit a great ball. The Bovendijks fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Bovendijks's Tomas de Boer looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Maurice Akkerman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Irnsum HC's zone, Maurice Akkerman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nico de Jaeger came out of the goal and Maurice Akkerman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 19 minutes, Rick Zaagman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Irnsum HC and the Bovendijks players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Irnsum HC's Rick Zaagman got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bovendijks's goalkeeper Nick Boerma, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Meindert Appeldoorn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Tonnie Hoogland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Tomas de Boer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bovendijks's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas de Boer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nico de Jaeger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th minute, Tonnie Hoogland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bovendijks's Meindert Appeldoorn got his second yellow card of the match in the 47th minute. The referee ordered Meindert Appeldoorn off the ground. After 48 played minutes Bovendijks got a freekick which was hit by Meindert Appeldoorn. After a defensive mix-up in Bovendijks's zone, Jan Hendrik Breinburg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nick Boerma came out of the goal and Jan Hendrik Breinburg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas de Boer to strike the kick off in the second half. Tonnie Hoogland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Nick Boerma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th match minute, Bovendijks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marick Swerts to maneuver through the defense. Nick Boerma made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Tonnie Hoogland sent off a good shot on target. Tonnie Hoogland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Nick Boerma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tonnie Hoogland could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Nick Boerma made a huge save. Tomas de Boer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Nico de Jaeger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 76 minutes of play, Bovendijks's Tomas de Boer made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nico de Jaeger was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tomas de Boer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nico de Jaeger having to interfere. Nico de Jaeger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas de Boer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Irnsum HC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. René Horring hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Bovendijks's Tonny Apotheker got a free kick in the 89th minute. Tonnie Hoogland's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Nick Boerma firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 99 minutes, Maurice Akkerman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bovendijks and the Irnsum HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Maurice Akkerman hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 100 minutes, Nick Boerma successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. There was no doubt that Bovendijks were the better team. Bovendijks's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
