The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Geale Busch to strike the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Nico de Jaeger successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rick Zaagman kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Wilfried Spanjer could shoot a difficult shot in the 60th minute, which Nico de Jaeger however easily saved by the left post. Nico de Jaeger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geale Busch, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 64 minutes into the match, Welsum's goal looked a bit too open when Tonnie Hoogland came free, but Pascall Veenema reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 70 played minutes Irnsum HC got a freekick which was hit by Rick Zaagman. Wilfried Spanjers short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Nico de Jaeger to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Irnsum HC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Daniel van Olst hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Jan Hendrik Breinburg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pascall Veenema was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Irnsum HC's zone, Geale Busch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nico de Jaeger came out of the goal and Geale Busch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Emiel van Olst came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Welsum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emiel van Olst couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute, Wilfried Spanjer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Welsum fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Geale Busch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
