Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Augstbuurt's Tjeerd Akkerboom started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pascall Huisingh was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Guus Severijnse showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. Joop Sparnaaij recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 8th minute by Guus Severijnse got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Pascall Huisingh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harold van der Schans in the 10th minute of play. Guus Severijnse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 15 minutes into the game, Steven Roorda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rilland's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Augstbuurt the free kick. Steven Roorda kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Remond Drenth struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Edgard Ruben didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Augstbuurt. 26 minutes into the match, Rilland's goal looked a bit too open when Tjeerd Akkerboom came free, but Edgard Ruben reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Rilland's Guus Severijnse sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pascall Huisingh narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tjeerd Akkerboom in the 30th minute of play forced Rilland's goalkeeper Edgard Ruben to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Guus Severijnse had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pascall Huisingh. Augstbuurt's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guus Severijnse was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. If Remond Drenth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 48th minute Tjeerd Akkerboom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Ruben saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Harold van der Schans was the one to do the kick off. After 54 played minutes Augstbuurt got a freekick which was hit by Elbert Pals. If Remond Drenth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 70 minutes, Elbert Pals managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Augstbuurt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elbert Pals was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Augstbuurt's Remond Drenth got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Guus Severijnse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Augstbuurt's goalkeeper Pascall Huisingh, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Elbert Pals was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 89 minutes had been played. Elbert Pals hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Harold van der Schans took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pascall Huisingh. Pascall Huisingh dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0.
