An unexpectedly hard shot by Geale Dissels in the 3rd minute of play forced Dalmsholt FC's goalkeeper Jasper Averdijk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Dalmsholt FC's zone, Geale Dissels stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jasper Averdijk came out of the goal and Geale Dissels tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dalmsholt FC's Gerald Pals got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ron Klooster took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elmar Stegeman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dalmsholt FC's Elmar Stegeman was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 10th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 14th minute of the match Klaas Hoven sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jasper Averdijk skillfully saved the ball. When Egbert Bartele fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dalmsholt FC's protests and gave Egbert Bartele a yellow card for diving instead. After 14 played minutes Dalmsholt FC got a freekick which was hit by Egbert Bartele. The audience was convinced that Geale Dissels's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jasper Averdijk was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Ron Klooster made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerald Pals in the 19th minute. After having played for 20 minutes, Gerald Pals managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dalmsholt FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerald Pals was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dalmsholt FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geale Dissels was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Dalmsholt FC's Jasper Averdijk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Saeijs in the 57th minute of play. If Gerald Pals had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gerald Pals struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Ron Klooster didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dalmsholt FC. Dalmsholt FC's Jasper Averdijk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Dalmsholt FC from getting a goal against them. Marcel Sparnaaij's late challenge caught a Stiem Eendracht's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jasper Averdijk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Saeijs in the 75th minute of the match. After having played for 80 minutes, Jan Saeijs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elmar Stegeman might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ron Klooster. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elmar Stegeman ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Stiem Eendracht defense, Gerald Pals kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ron Klooster. The Stiem Eendracht fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ron Klooster should have stopped the shot. 93 minutes into the match, Jan Saeijs dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jasper Averdijk, 4-3. Dalmsholt FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
