Hub Groten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Twan Olfers in the 6th minute of play. Erik Schreuder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Teun Roorda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 19 minutes, Corné Zenden managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Schinkel Eendracht's supporters crossed their fingers, but Corné Zenden was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teun Roorda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Schreuder in the 21st minute of the match. Erik Schreuder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Teun Roorda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Hoogdonk S.V. booed when Schinkel Eendracht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roderick Prinsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Twan Olfers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hub Groten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramon Dol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, Schinkel Eendracht's goal looked a bit too open when Twan Olfers came free, but Hub Groten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teun Roorda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Corné Zenden in the 39th minute. Corné Zenden could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Teun Roorda made a huge save. Teun Roorda made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Corné Zenden sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ramon Dol to make the kick off. Hub Groten didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Hoogdonk S.V.'s Ramon Dol shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. A collision led to Hoogdonk S.V. getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Elroy Heije hit a great ball. When Erik Schreuder came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Schinkel Eendracht fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erik Schreuder couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Corné Zenden managed to get in a good position for a shot. Schinkel Eendracht's supporters rose to their feet, but Corné Zenden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teun Roorda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Schinkel Eendracht's Hub Groten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramon Dol in the 68th minute of play. Teun Roorda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erik Schreuder's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Twan Olfers's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Hub Groten skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With 80 minutes on the clock, Gerwin Frankena commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 79th minute, one of Schinkel Eendracht:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Schinkel Eendracht. 89 minutes into the game, Karsten Rinzema was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hoogdonk S.V.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Schinkel Eendracht the free kick. After a rather tough play, Hoogdonk S.V.'s Karsten Rinzema got a free kick in the 89th minute. Corné Zenden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Hoogdonk S.V. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Hoogdonk S.V. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
