Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dick Zorge started the match with the kick off. After having played for 8 minutes, Twan Olfers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hoogdonk S.V.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Twan Olfers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jan Hendrik Homan hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Twan Olfers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jan Rein Okkes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramon Dol, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 33rd minute Jan-Peter Hesp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teun Roorda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Twan Olfers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ramon Dol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jan Rein Okkes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ramon Dol's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Hoogdonk S.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Peter Hesp came free, but Teun Roorda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Hoogdonk S.V.'s zone, Jan-Peter Hesp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teun Roorda came out of the goal and Jan-Peter Hesp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ramon Dol stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dick Zorge in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teun Roorda saved Hoogdonk S.V. from getting behind. Dick Zorge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Hoogdonk S.V.'s Ramon Dol got a free kick in the 67th minute. Dick Zorge's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teun Roorda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Sven van Wonderen's late challenge caught a Anklaar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven van Wonderen helped the player get up and apologised. Dick Zorge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teun Roorda having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 73rd minute by Jan-Peter Hesp got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Teun Roorda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dick Zorge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute, Jan Hendrik Homan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tom Derks hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Anklaar had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
