Catsop's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, Catsop's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Peter Kuiper came free, but Kurt Zijden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Polak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egbert van Asseldonk in the 35th minute of play. Kevin Höhenstein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Kurt Zijden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 43rd play minutes Kevin Höhenstein shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Kurt Zijden and just under the crossbar into goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Egbert van Asseldonk made a kick off. The coaching staff of Catsop protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Roger Hulshof had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave Zuiderwoude a penalty, 99 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tonny Carels, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Catsop's Kurt Zijden. 0-4. The Catsop supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Zuiderwoude's performance. The match ended with a win for Zuiderwoude.
