Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Perkpolder's Koen Idema started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Nieuwacht's goal looked a bit too open when Koen Idema came free, but Arie Lucius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Heiko Heijen during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Nieuwacht getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Heiko Heijen hit a great ball. With a little luck, Nieuwacht's Arie Lucius got control of the ball when Mickael Haas tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Perkpolder booed when Nieuwacht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hub van Gastel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Nieuwacht's zone, Arno Cornelisse stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arie Lucius came out of the goal and Arno Cornelisse tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute Koen Idema shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arie Lucius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robert Das showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bram Meijer, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After 25 played minutes Perkpolder got a freekick which was hit by Elroy Nijemanting. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elroy Nijemanting during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 28 minutes into the match, Nieuwacht's Andreas Lanting broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Mickael Haas came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Perkpolder fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mickael Haas couldn't finish the play. 32 minutes into the match, Nieuwacht's goal looked a bit too open when Koen Idema came free, but Arie Lucius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mickael Haas struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Arie Lucius didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Perkpolder. Koen Idema received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Arie Lucius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hans Grommers hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Perkpolder's Elroy Nijemanting got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Perkpolder fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when Perkpolder's Koen Idema looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bram Meijer made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Ben Wel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Koen Idema succeeded in the game's 57th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Koen Idema in the 63rd minute of play forced Nieuwacht's goalkeeper Arie Lucius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mickael Haas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arie Lucius having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Koen Idema managed to get in a good position for a shot. Perkpolder's supporters rose to their feet, but Koen Idema was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arie Lucius breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 74 minutes into the match, Emil Cuperus notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Perkpolder's Robert Das. Robert Das was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 77th minute, Maurice Griemink hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute of the match Perkpolder got a corner. Nieuwacht's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arno Cornelisse ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Arno Cornelisse got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Arie Lucius quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Robert Das showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bram Meijer, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 86 minutes into the match, Heiko Heijen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Robert Das. Perkpolder's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Heiko Heijen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. If Koen Idema had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
