Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Valkenheide HC's Gerrie Harding played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christijan Iepmann in the 3rd minute of play. Geert Arend Blikman's late challenge caught a Valkenheide HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geert Arend Blikman helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Valkenheide HC booed when Molecate RKSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geert Arend Blikman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karel Lokin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Robert-Jan Zeijlemaker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pascal Vrieze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerrie Harding having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Christijan Iepmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Molecate RKSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Christijan Iepmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerrie Harding breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 16 minutes into the match, Valkenheide HC's Luc Hoogendorp sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robert-Jan Zeijlemaker narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Christijan Iepmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Gerrie Harding tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 22 minutes, Luc Hoogendorp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valkenheide HC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luc Hoogendorp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christijan Iepmann kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luc Hoogendorp in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robert-Jan Zeijlemaker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Karel Lokin might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Robert-Jan Zeijlemaker. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karel Lokin ran back to his position shaking his head. When Luc Hoogendorp got free in front of the goal in the 30th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Robert-Jan Zeijlemaker was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, Ernest Post notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Valkenheide HC's Gerrie Harding. Gerrie Harding was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 39th minute Luc Hoogendorp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert-Jan Zeijlemaker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robert-Jan Zeijlemaker stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luc Hoogendorp's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christijan Iepmann to make the kick off. With a little luck, Molecate RKSV's Robert-Jan Zeijlemaker got control of the ball when Karel Lokin tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Molecate RKSV's Harold Nibbelke got a free kick in the 55th minute. Robert-Jan Zeijlemaker made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Karel Lokin sent off a good shot on target. Mitchell Onderwater kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Koen van der Saar sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Valkenheide HC's Gerrie Harding didn't even have to move. Ernest Post struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Gerrie Harding didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Molecate RKSV. In the 64th minute, Christijan Iepmann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gerrie Harding was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Molecate RKSV's goalkeeper Robert-Jan Zeijlemaker, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Molecate RKSV's Robert-Jan Zeijlemaker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luc Hoogendorp in the 80th minute of play. After 82 played minutes Molecate RKSV got a freekick which was hit by Christijan Iepmann. If Karel Lokin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard, long distance shot from Gerwin Nagel flew over the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Molecate RKSV's goalkeeper Robert-Jan Zeijlemaker had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karel Lokin. Robert-Jan Zeijlemaker made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Karel Lokin sent off a good shot on target. In the 91stth minute of the game Ernest Post who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valkenheide HC's Gerrie Harding was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Molecate RKSV's zone, Karel Lokin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robert-Jan Zeijlemaker came out of the goal and Karel Lokin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nico-Jan Berg hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. After 97 played minutes, Molecate RKSV's Koen van der Saar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gerrie Harding came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Molecate RKSV reached it. Valkenheide HC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
