Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Arjen van Driest started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arjen van Driest in the 6th minute of play forced Laaxum's goalkeeper Elbert Wielaert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michael Huizen hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Luc Eising, 8 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 10th minute, Pepijn Melker left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Platteweg SV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 13 minutes of play, Laaxum's Hette Krommert made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mario Zilverberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Hette Krommert put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Mario Zilverberg. After 21 played minutes Laaxum got a freekick which was hit by Steven Ensing. Pepijn Melker charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pepijn Melker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th minute, Pepijn Melker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arjen van Driest in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elbert Wielaert saved Laaxum from getting behind. Arjen van Driest sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Pepijn Melker came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Platteweg SV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pepijn Melker couldn't finish the play. After 33 minutes, Oliver Jonkman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Laaxum and the Platteweg SV players grew even worse after the yellow card. Oliver Jonkman hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Platteweg SV's Luc Eising couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 34th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Laaxum. Laaxum's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Arjen van Driest scored to the left of an out of position Elbert Wielaert, making the score, 2-2. In the 39th minute Arjen van Driest shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elbert Wielaert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chris de Zeeuw during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Chris de Zeeuw kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When Hette Krommert came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Laaxum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hette Krommert couldn't finish the play. Laaxum's Elbert Wielaert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arjen van Driest in the 61st minute of play. If Mirko van Gessel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pepijn Melker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 3-2 became the score in the 68th minute when Arjen van Driest elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Mirko van Gessel could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which Mario Zilverberg however easily saved by the left post. After having played for 80 minutes, Pepijn Melker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Platteweg SV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pepijn Melker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hette Krommert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chris de Zeeuw kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Hette Krommert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Mario Zilverberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laaxum succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Platteweg SV had controlled the match.
