A collision led to Deurzen HC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Ricky Heikens hit a great ball. Felix Tollenaar in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joeri van Zelst, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 14 played minutes Deurzen HC got a freekick which was hit by Peter Bruinsma. If Felix Tollenaar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dennis Palsma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dennis Palsma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tonnie Henselmans having to interfere. In the 28th match minute, Otterdijk FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dennis Diest to maneuver through the defense. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arjen van der Doelen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Tonnie Henselmans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dennis Palsma to strike the kick off in the second half. Deurzen HC's Dennis Palsma got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, Otterdijk FC's goalkeeper Tonnie Henselmans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arjen van der Doelen. Joeri van Zelst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathieu van Rhijn in the 57th minute of play. If Dennis Palsma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Otterdijk FC's Sjoerd Som got a free kick in the 61st minute. After 62 played minutes Otterdijk FC got a freekick which was hit by Sjoerd Som. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Palsma in the 65th minute of play forced Otterdijk FC's goalkeeper Tonnie Henselmans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Felix Tollenaar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joeri van Zelst was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. With a little luck, Otterdijk FC's Tonnie Henselmans got control of the ball when Arjen van der Doelen tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Felix Tollenaar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Otterdijk FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Tollenaar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joeri van Zelst breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 86 played minutes, Otterdijk FC's Fabian Niekamp shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joeri van Zelst came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Otterdijk FC reached it. When the referee blew the final whistle, Otterdijk FC could leave the field as winners, despite Deurzen HC having more of the ball for most of the match.
