Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hans Berends started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Wee V.V.'s Fred Zeldenrust got a free kick in the 2nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joop Hebert in the 9th minute of play forced Emminkhuizen Excelsior's goalkeeper Steven van Hintum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Steven van Hintum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans Berends in the 10th minute of play. After 10 played minutes Emminkhuizen Excelsior got a freekick which was hit by Peter Nagel. Hans Berends received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Steven van Hintum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Peter Nagel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerald Wielens hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. A long shot from Youri Weken in the 15th minute of play was well struck, but Steven van Hintum made a really good save at the right post. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wee V.V.'s goalkeeper Han Mik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gijsbert Polak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Steven van Hintum having to make a save. In the 29th minute, Gijsbert Polak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wee V.V. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Steven van Hintum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans Berends, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Emminkhuizen Excelsior's Tommie Walregt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Han Mik narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Philip Spierenburg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Han Mik was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. In the 39th minute, Philip Spierenburg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Emminkhuizen Excelsior fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1.

After having played for 51 minutes, Philip Spierenburg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Emminkhuizen Excelsior's supporters crossed their fingers, but Philip Spierenburg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Han Mik managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Emminkhuizen Excelsior's Tommie Walregt fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Steven van Hintum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans Berends in the 56th minute of the match. When Emminkhuizen Excelsior's Philip Spierenburg in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wee V.V.'s goalie prevented a goal. Steven van Hintum stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gijsbert Polak's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Gerald Wielens kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Emminkhuizen Excelsior's Steven van Hintum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans Berends in the 64th minute of play. Tommie Walregt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Han Mik made a huge save. With a little luck, Wee V.V.'s Han Mik got control of the ball when Tommie Walregt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gijsbert Polak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Steven van Hintum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gijsbert Polak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steven van Hintum having to interfere. Gijsbert Polak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Steven van Hintum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Han Mik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philip Spierenburg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gijsbert Polak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
