Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Philip Spierenburg made the kick off which started today's match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Philip Spierenburg in the 3rd minute of play forced Kakert's goalkeeper Ferdi Dowie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Emminkhuizen Excelsior's Philip Spierenburg in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kakert's goalie prevented a goal. In the 6th minute, Ernest Heijer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gert Jan van der Doelen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Emminkhuizen Excelsior getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Tommie Walregt hit a great ball. If Gert Jan van der Doelen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferdi Dowie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tommie Walregt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, Emminkhuizen Excelsior's goal looked a bit too open when Gert Jan van der Doelen came free, but Steven van Hintum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gert Jan van der Doelen in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Steven van Hintum prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gert Jan van der Doelen to make the kick off. If Gert Jan van der Doelen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emminkhuizen Excelsior's Steven van Hintum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jurre Blom in the 54th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Kakert's zone, Tommie Walregt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferdi Dowie came out of the goal and Tommie Walregt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Philip Spierenburg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kakert's Ferdi Dowie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Kakert from getting a goal against them. After having played for 66 minutes, Tommie Walregt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Emminkhuizen Excelsior's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tommie Walregt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th minute, Jurre Blom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Kakert booed when Emminkhuizen Excelsior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerald Wielens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gerald Wielens's late challenge caught a Kakert's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gerald Wielens helped the player get up and apologised. Steven van Hintum stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gert Jan van der Doelen's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. After some careless play in the Emminkhuizen Excelsior defense, Jurre Blom kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Steven van Hintum. The Emminkhuizen Excelsior fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Steven van Hintum should have stopped the shot. If Jurre Blom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jurre Blom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Steven van Hintum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steven van Hintum came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Kakert's Gert Jan van der Doelen. But to his dismay, Gert Jan van der Doelen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Martien Wessel during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Kakert had won after a very even match.
