Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Chris van der Gun started the match with the kick off. Dimitrie Theissen kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Jeroen van der Vaart had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mark Themmen. Strien's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jeroen van der Vaart was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Chris van der Gun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mark Klaassen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Frits Kolkman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frits Kolkman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiën Aelbrecht in the 13th minute of the match. Frits Kolkman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabiën Aelbrecht, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Coenraad Hofkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Mark Klaassen could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Frits Kolkman however easily saved by the left post. Luc Kuys charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luc Kuys the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Strien getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Luc Kuys hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute, Chris van der Gun made a precise shot to the right of Mark Themmen. Strien's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Steenharst's zone, Fabiën Aelbrecht stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frits Kolkman came out of the goal and Fabiën Aelbrecht tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute Fabiën Aelbrecht shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frits Kolkman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rdth minute of the game Maikel Teesing who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Strien's Mark Themmen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mark Klaassen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frits Kolkman having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Mark Klaassen got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabiën Aelbrecht made a kick off. Steenharst's Maikel Teesing got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maikel Teesing's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 57thth minute, Mark Themmen skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Mark Themmen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chris van der Gun went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Chris van der Gun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark Themmen having to interfere. Coenraad Hofkamp charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Coenraad Hofkamp the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Frits Kolkman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabiën Aelbrecht, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mark Klaassen in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frits Kolkman saved Steenharst from getting behind. In the 81st match minute, Strien was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mirko Tulner to maneuver through the defense. Chris van der Gun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 85 minutes, Fabiën Aelbrecht managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Strien's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabiën Aelbrecht was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frits Kolkman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiën Aelbrecht in the 87th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Strien's zone, Maikel Teesing stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mark Themmen came out of the goal and Maikel Teesing tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 94 minutes into the match, Steenharst's Chris van der Gun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mark Themmen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mark Themmen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris van der Gun in the 98th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Steenharst had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
