Ospel Excelsior's Thijs Wessels shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 6th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jacques Keller but with some difficulty. After a rather tough play, Hoogbraak FC's Gerwin van Driest got a free kick in the 8th minute. If Gerwin van Driest had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ospel Excelsior's Roelof Mans got a free kick in the 16th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chris Thijsse in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kurt Zevenberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 22nd minute, Jan Boerma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kurt Zevenberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chris Thijsse's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. In the 29th minute Chris Thijsse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kurt Zevenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Chris Thijsse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hoogbraak FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Chris Thijsse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kurt Zevenberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th minute, Ospel Excelsior's Pepijn Kersten ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jacques Keller. Jacques Keller yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Jacques Keller successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gerwin van Driest sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gerwin van Driest stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ospel Excelsior's goalkeeper Kurt Zevenberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 61st minute, Roelof Mans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ospel Excelsior's Pepijn Kersten got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emil Ekelhoff kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Jan Heeringa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kurt Zevenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerwin van Driest in the 75th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Hoogbraak FC's goal looked a bit too open when Roelof Mans came free, but Jacques Keller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hoogbraak FC's Coenraad Zielman got a free kick in the 79th minute. If Pepijn Kersten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pepijn Kersten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Jacques Keller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emil Ekelhoff hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. 93 minutes into the match, Hoogbraak FC's goal looked a bit too open when Roelof Mans came free, but Jacques Keller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
