Gerrit Cales took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wouter Fokkelman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wouter Fokkelman might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gerrit Cales. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wouter Fokkelman ran back to his position shaking his head. Martien Kremer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Heerlerheide HC booed when Soesterberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elmar van Beukering didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martien Kremer struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Gerrit Cales didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Heerlerheide HC. Heerlerheide HC's Martien Kremer got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Martien Kremer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Gerrit Cales made a huge save. Benjamin van Dessel made a great header on Heerlerheide HC's corner, it was just that Soesterberg's Gerrit Cales managed to reach the ball for a save.
