Remond Slot came out of the goal and Frank Lammens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the match, Laaghalen's goalkeeper Sipke Gasteren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dimitrie Schie. Dimitrie Schie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sipke Gasteren having to interfere. In the 27th minute Frank Lammens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remond Slot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peter Tevreden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Remond Slot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peter Tevreden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remond Slot having to interfere. With 42 minutes on the clock, Kevin van Damme commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 41 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. The corner led to Havelterberg FC's Christijan Zuidam getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Laaghalen's Peter Tevreden sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Remond Slot narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Dimitrie Schie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
