Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jan Hendrik Elshot started the match with the kick off. If Jan Blank had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Hendrik Elshot in the 14th minute of play forced Biessum VV's goalkeeper Toni Spoel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 17 minutes into the game, when Frank Jaliens put in a rough tackle. In the 16th minute, one of Haerst FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Haerst FC. 22 minutes into the match, Biessum VV's Edward Lyesen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Henry Folkers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Haerst FC's Rudolf Dam got a free kick in the 23rd minute. The supporters of Haerst FC booed when Biessum VV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Duinhoven didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 48 in the game by Jan Blank from a close distance when the talented Toni Spoel managed to make a qualified save. Biessum VV's players were relieved. After the first half Biessum VV were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Edward Lyesen made the kick off in the second half. Rudolf Dam hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Edward Lyesen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the game, Biessum VV's Alexander Duinhoven nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Henry Folkers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Toni Spoel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Blank, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Blank received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Toni Spoel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 66 minutes, Nathan Asselbergs mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Haerst FC and the Biessum VV players grew even worse after the yellow card. Toni Spoel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Blank in the 71st minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 73rd minute by Alexander Duinhoven got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 74 minutes into the game, Rudolf Dam was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Haerst FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Biessum VV the free kick. Haerst FC's Henry Folkers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Lyesen in the 75th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Haerst FC's Rudi Bult got a free kick in the 79th minute. Lukas Geerdink, 81 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. A collision led to Haerst FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Heiko van Bommel hit a great ball. Alexander Duinhoven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Edward Lyesen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Henry Folkers. That made the score 0-3 in the 88 minute of play. When Edward Lyesen came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Biessum VV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Lyesen couldn't finish the play. Biessum VV's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
