Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Kristof Mans started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute Jan Hendrik Elshot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tjeerd Zoolingen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haerst FC's Henry Folkers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Haerst FC from getting a goal against them. 10 minutes into the match, Jan Blank had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tjeerd Zoolingen. Breklenkamp's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jan Blank was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Jan Hendrik Elshot recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jan Hendrik Elshot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tjeerd Zoolingen having to interfere. After 18 minutes, Arnout Helwig mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Breklenkamp and the Haerst FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Arnout Helwig hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute of the match Lex Boven shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tjeerd Zoolingen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tjeerd Zoolingen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Hendrik Elshot in the 21st minute of play. Kristof Mans's late challenge caught a Haerst FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kristof Mans helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd minute, Kristof Mans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Rudolf Dam fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Haerst FC's protests and gave Rudolf Dam a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Haerst FC's Rudolf Dam got a free kick in the 25th minute. If Jan Hendrik Elshot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 38 minutes into the match, Breklenkamp's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Hendrik Elshot came free, but Tjeerd Zoolingen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jan Hendrik Elshot to make the kick off. Fernando Zimmer charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernando Zimmer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 55th minute, Fernando Zimmer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tjeerd Zoolingen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Hendrik Elshot in the 63rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan Blank got free with Tjeerd Zoolingen in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 67th minute of the match Rudi Bult sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tjeerd Zoolingen skillfully saved the ball. After 68 minutes of play Breklenkamp's Fernando Zimmer was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 68th match minute, Breklenkamp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Zimmer to maneuver through the defense. Jan Hendrik Elshot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Haerst FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Nathan Asselbergs hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Arnout Helwig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Breklenkamp's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnout Helwig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henry Folkers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Maurits de Jong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henry Folkers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurits de Jong, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 92nd minute, Jan Blank ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tjeerd Zoolingen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The Haerst FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Haerst FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
