Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Carsten Veltman took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Harry Klooster hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carsten Veltman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Freek Spierenburg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Stephan Zwinkels made a precise shot to the right of Freek Spierenburg. Linden V.V.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carsten Veltman in the 16th minute of play forced Linden V.V.'s goalkeeper Freek Spierenburg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henk Waterman scored 3-0 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Freek Spierenburg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zoeterwoude FC's Marnix Plescher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sipke Kuypers in the 25th minute of play. A collision led to Linden V.V. getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Jean-Paul Roelofs hit a great ball. Freek Spierenburg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carsten Veltman in the 29th minute of play. After some careless play in the Zoeterwoude FC defense, Jean-Paul Roelofs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marnix Plescher. The Zoeterwoude FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marnix Plescher should have stopped the shot. 38 minutes into the game, Linden V.V.'s Sipke Kuypers nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marnix Plescher made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. A collision led to Linden V.V. getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Rogier van der Meer hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

Sipke Kuypers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Marnix Plescher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jean-Paul Roelofs was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 54th minute. Linden V.V.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 57 minutes into the match, Zoeterwoude FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jean-Paul Roelofs came free, but Marnix Plescher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marnix Plescher was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Frits Wemers. Marnix Plescher made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Sipke Kuypers sent off a good shot on target. Marnix Plescher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean-Paul Roelofs in the 69th minute of the match. After having played for 73 minutes, Carsten Veltman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zoeterwoude FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carsten Veltman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jean-Paul Roelofs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marnix Plescher having to make a save. When Zoeterwoude FC's Carsten Veltman in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Rogier van der Meer's late challenge caught a Zoeterwoude FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rogier van der Meer helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Zoeterwoude FC booed when Linden V.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogier van der Meer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henk Waterman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Freek Spierenburg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
