After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Martien Stegeman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Veeningen's supporters rose to their feet, but Martien Stegeman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thijs Bosstraeten breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 42 played minutes Veeningen got a freekick which was hit by Rick Zeldenrust. Marcus Timmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Martien Stegeman was the one to do the kick off. Annaparochie's Nico-Jan Huisingh got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jordy van den Hoogen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nico-Jan Huisingh in the 53rd minute of the match. Gert Brouwers charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gert Brouwers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Veeningen's Gert Brouwers got a free kick in the 54th minute. Annaparochie's Roland Drenth got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jordy van den Hoogen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nico-Jan Huisingh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st match minute, Annaparochie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastiaan Douwes to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, Veeningen's Martien Stegeman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thijs Bosstraeten narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Marcus Timmer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martien Stegeman took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thijs Bosstraeten. Thijs Bosstraeten dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Michel Walstra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Thijs Bosstraeten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Martien Stegeman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Veeningen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when Nico-Jan Huisingh scored to the left of an out of position Jordy van den Hoogen, making the score, 3-3. In the 90th minute Martien Stegeman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thijs Bosstraeten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Annaparochie's zone, Michel Walstra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thijs Bosstraeten came out of the goal and Michel Walstra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martien Stegeman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Thijs Bosstraeten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruno Klein hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Michel Walstra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Thijs Bosstraeten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Annaparochie players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Veeningen from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
