Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Auke Vorenkamp started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frits Okkes during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Frits Okkes kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. The supporters of Hoogerheide booed when Driesprong HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barry Geitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Auke Vorenkamp took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hans Kolkman. Hans Kolkman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. During the 14th minute of the match Barry Geitz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Barry Geitz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 15 played minutes Driesprong HC got a freekick which was hit by Barry Geitz. 16 minutes into the match, Hoogerheide's Sjors de Kort broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 19th minute, Hub Houwing made a precise shot to the right of Mathias Harding. Hoogerheide's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Hub Houwing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hub Houwing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Mathias Harding tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jasper Alberda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herbert Kramer charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Herbert Kramer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Driesprong HC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Herbert Kramer hit a great ball. Henk van Diemen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Kolkman having to interfere. Hub Houwing recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mathias Harding made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hub Houwing in the 40th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Hub Houwing left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Driesprong HC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hub Houwing was the one to do the kick off. Jasper Alberda's late challenge caught a Hoogerheide's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jasper Alberda helped the player get up and apologised. Jasper Alberda kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Hoogerheide's Auke Vorenkamp got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frits Okkes struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Mathias Harding didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Driesprong HC. 59 minutes into the match, Hoogerheide's goalkeeper Mathias Harding had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hub Houwing. 61 minutes into the match, Hub Houwing had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mathias Harding. Hoogerheide's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hub Houwing was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 64th minute of the match Berend Mol shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hans Kolkman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Henk van Diemen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hoogerheide's supporters rose to their feet, but Henk van Diemen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hans Kolkman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hans Kolkman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Auke Vorenkamp in the 71st minute of play. Jasper Alberda struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Mathias Harding didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Driesprong HC. Hub Houwing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathias Harding having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Henk van Diemen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hans Kolkman was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3.
