Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Martien Stegeman started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Hoogerheide's Emile Das got a free kick in the 2nd minute. In the 5th minute Michel Walstra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathias Harding saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Henk van Diemen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jordy van den Hoogen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Auke Vorenkamp in the 8th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Hoogerheide's Auke Vorenkamp slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jordy van den Hoogen. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. Michel Walstra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the game, one of Hoogerheide:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 19th minute there was a penalty for Veeningen. Gert Brouwers stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mathias Harding. 1-1. 25 minutes into the game, Arjen Roelfs was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Veeningen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hoogerheide the free kick. With a little luck, Veeningen's Jordy van den Hoogen got control of the ball when Henk van Diemen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Michel Walstra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Henk van Diemen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Michel Walstra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mathias Harding having to make a save. Mathias Harding took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martien Stegeman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mathias Harding made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michel Walstra in the 63rd minute. Michel Walstra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Mathias Harding tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hoogerheide's goalkeeper Mathias Harding, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Henk van Diemen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute, Henk van Diemen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 78 minutes, Martien Stegeman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Veeningen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martien Stegeman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hoogerheide's Mathias Harding proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Hoogerheide from getting a goal against them. Mathias Harding showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martien Stegeman in the 85th minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Martien Stegeman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mathias Harding was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martien Stegeman in the 93rd minute of play forced Hoogerheide's goalkeeper Mathias Harding to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henk van Diemen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Jordy van den Hoogen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Veeningen players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
