After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Thijs Lammens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Agelo's supporters rose to their feet, but Thijs Lammens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joost Das breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Agelo's goalkeeper Humberto Kuys, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Humberto Kuys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kees Ploeger, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Humberto Kuys showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martien de Bruin in the 16th minute of the match. Humberto Kuys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kees Ploeger in the 17th minute of play. Martien de Bruin scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Humberto Kuys, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 23 minutes into the match, Agelo's goal looked a bit too open when Kees Ploeger came free, but Humberto Kuys reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wierhuizen's Joost Das proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Wierhuizen from getting a goal against them. Rein Veldkamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Joost Das tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Frits Koekkoek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wierhuizen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Agelo the free kick. In the 29th match minute, Wierhuizen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frits Koekkoek to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th play minute Thijs Lammens came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Joost Das. 1-1. Kees Ploeger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugo Beukenkamp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 43 minutes, Mickael Schenning mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Agelo and the Wierhuizen players grew even worse after the yellow card. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kees Ploeger made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thijs Lammens in the 52nd minute of play forced Wierhuizen's goalkeeper Joost Das to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Alwin Duinhoven was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wierhuizen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Agelo the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 66th minute of the game. One of Wierhuizen:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Agelo:s goal. In the 68th minute there was a penalty for Agelo. Martien van Nieuwstadt stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Joost Das. 3-2. A collision led to Wierhuizen getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Frits Koekkoek hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rein Veldkamp in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joost Das prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 81 minutes into the match, Rein Veldkamp had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joost Das. Wierhuizen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rein Veldkamp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Rein Veldkamp struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Joost Das didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Agelo. After a defensive mix-up in Agelo's zone, Martien de Bruin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Kuys came out of the goal and Martien de Bruin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thijs Lammens in the 91st minute of play forced Wierhuizen's goalkeeper Joost Das to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, Thijs Lammens made a precise shot to the right of Joost Das. Wierhuizen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. Agelo's Rein Veldkamp got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Agelo's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
