After 8 played minutes Leie FC got a freekick which was hit by Gio Wermans. 11 minutes into the game, Tomas Brinke was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leie FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Terwisscha the free kick. After 11 played minutes Leie FC got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Brinke. Theo Geraets made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Theo Geraets showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Hohenstein, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eric Hohenstein stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. He was immediately shown a red card. 68 minutes into the game, one of Terwisscha:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
