Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nico-Jan ter Averst started the match with the kick off. Eddy Sturm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Falco Mol in the 8th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Moordhuizen's goal looked a bit too open when Falco Mol came free, but Eddy Sturm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlo Boswijk kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Falco Mol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hattelaar FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Falco Mol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eddy Sturm breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 14 played minutes Moordhuizen got a freekick which was hit by Japke Euving. Falco Mol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddy Sturm having to interfere. When Simon Knopper came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Hattelaar FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon Knopper couldn't finish the play. Falco Mol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Moordhuizen's Eddy Sturm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Falco Mol in the 31st minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Falco Mol to make the kick off. Eddy Sturm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Falco Mol in the 51st minute of the match. Falco Mol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Eddy Sturm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Moordhuizen's Eddy Sturm got control of the ball when Simon Knopper tried to sneak it across the goal line. Falco Mol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Falco Mol took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Eddy Sturm to make any attempt to save it. Pieter Schophuis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nico-Jan ter Averst, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Simon Knopper blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eddy Sturm having to make a save. When Simon Knopper came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Hattelaar FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon Knopper couldn't finish the play. Eddy Sturm stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Falco Mol's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. After 74 played minutes Moordhuizen got a freekick which was hit by Tommie Fens. Falco Mol struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Eddy Sturm didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hattelaar FC. When Marick Wortelboer fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Moordhuizen's protests and gave Marick Wortelboer a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Hattelaar FC booed when Moordhuizen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marick Wortelboer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Bennie Ellerman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moordhuizen's supporters rose to their feet, but Bennie Ellerman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Simon Knopper got free with Eddy Sturm in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 91st minute, Moordhuizen's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Simon Knopper fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After having played for 93 minutes, Simon Knopper managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hattelaar FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simon Knopper was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Falco Mol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddy Sturm having to interfere. The Hattelaar FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Hattelaar FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
