Rien Blanker didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Wijnbergen HC's Martien Keupink shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Rien Blanker made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Martien Keupink sent off a good shot on target. Diderik Waterman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rien Blanker having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Martien Keupink put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Rien Blanker. Rien Blanker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diderik Waterman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teun Berg struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Hugo Smit didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Geuzenbuurt. Rien Blanker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diderik Waterman in the 45th minute of play. If Teun Berg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Klaas Degeling made the kick off in the second half. Martien Keupink sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martien Keupink blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rien Blanker having to make a save. In the 60th minute, Klaas Degeling got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teun Berg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Teun Berg came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Geuzenbuurt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teun Berg couldn't finish the play. After having played for 69 minutes, Diderik Waterman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wijnbergen HC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diderik Waterman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wijnbergen HC's Hugo Smit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klaas Degeling in the 72nd minute of play. Teun Berg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Hugo Smit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Klaas Degeling sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Klaas Degeling came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Geuzenbuurt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Klaas Degeling couldn't finish the play. Wijnbergen HC's Hugo Smit proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Wijnbergen HC from getting a goal against them. If Martien Keupink had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geuzenbuurt's Rien Blanker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diderik Waterman in the 87th minute of play. Klaas Degeling sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carel Duinhoven's late challenge caught a Geuzenbuurt's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carel Duinhoven helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd match minute, Wijnbergen HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carel Duinhoven to maneuver through the defense. 93 minutes into the match, Geuzenbuurt's Gert Jan Hoogenkamp broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Wijnbergen HC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Geuzenbuurt for a fine match.
