Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Wijnbergen HC's Diderik Waterman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Frank Kruit could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Hugo Smit made a huge save. Frank Kruit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diderik Waterman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Pierre van der Schaaf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martien Keupink in the 20th minute of play forced Belcrum's goalkeeper Pierre van der Schaaf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Wijnbergen HC's Diderik Waterman in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Belcrum's goalie prevented a goal. Gio Steen hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. If Martien Keupink had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Wijnbergen HC's Diderik Waterman in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Belcrum's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Wijnbergen HC's zone, Gio Steen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo Smit came out of the goal and Gio Steen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martien Keupink fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre van der Schaaf having to interfere. Diderik Waterman scored 0-2 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pierre van der Schaaf, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 47th minute, Guus Ubels hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Wijnbergen HC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gio Steen to make the kick off. Gio Steen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Hugo Smit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gio Steen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pierre van der Schaaf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diderik Waterman, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Martien Keupink fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre van der Schaaf having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Belcrum's Fokke Westra got a free kick in the 69th minute. If Martien Keupink had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wijnbergen HC's Diderik Waterman got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frank Kruit recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hugo Smit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gio Steen in the 89th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gio Steen in the 95th minute of play forced Wijnbergen HC's goalkeeper Hugo Smit to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Wijnbergen HC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Wijnbergen HC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
