Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Thijs van Kempen kicked off to start the match. 15 minutes into the match, Doornenburg HC's goal looked a bit too open when Thijs van Kempen came free, but Rein Bok reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 16 minutes, Max Mastebroek made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Doornenburg HC's Rein Bok tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Bultinge defense, Coos Timmermans kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johan Boon. The Bultinge fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johan Boon should have stopped the shot. Bultinge's Johan Boon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Schoonderwoerd in the 23rd minute of play. If Coos Timmermans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Arnold Rijaard fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bultinge's protests and gave Arnold Rijaard a yellow card for diving instead. Roland Schoonderwoerd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36thth minute of the game Roland Schoonderwoerd who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bultinge's Johan Boon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Bultinge's Henry Kroeze got a free kick in the 37th minute. Coos Timmermans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Coos Timmermans got free with Johan Boon in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roland Schoonderwoerd was the one to do the kick off. Bultinge's Johan Boon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Schoonderwoerd in the 53rd minute of play. Rein Bok stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thijs van Kempen's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Doornenburg HC's goalkeeper Rein Bok, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rein Bok showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thijs van Kempen, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. When Doornenburg HC's Coos Timmermans in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bultinge's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Max Mastebroek got free with Rein Bok in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rudolf Reinhard's late challenge caught a Doornenburg HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rudolf Reinhard helped the player get up and apologised. Rein Bok made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thijs van Kempen in the 78th minute of play. Johan Boon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roland Schoonderwoerd in the 81st minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Bultinge's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Schoonderwoerd came free, but Johan Boon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roland Schoonderwoerd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johan Boon having to interfere. Coos Timmermans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Johan Boon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bultinge's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
