If Hette Muskee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Bruil's Ted Broos got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jelle de Ruijter during the 24th minute. The supporters of Rijt Eendracht booed when Bruil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Hammen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bruil's zone, Arnold Breinburg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donny Soer came out of the goal and Arnold Breinburg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Donny Soer managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Rijt Eendracht's Ate Zegeling fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Folker Cornelisse to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnold Breinburg in the 55th minute of play forced Bruil's goalkeeper Donny Soer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Rijt Eendracht's zone, Hette Muskee stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teo Joppets came out of the goal and Hette Muskee tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teo Joppets made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Hette Muskee sent off a good shot on target. Arnold Breinburg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Donny Soer having to make a save. Bruil's Donny Soer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnold Breinburg in the 78th minute of play. Hette Muskee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the match, Rijt Eendracht's goal looked a bit too open when Folker Cornelisse came free, but Teo Joppets reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
