Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Arnold Breinburg took the kick off in the first half of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Rijt Eendracht's goal looked a bit too open when Ferdinant Nagel came free, but Teo Joppets reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Arnold Breinburg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ben Eggens's late challenge caught a Rijt Eendracht's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ben Eggens helped the player get up and apologised. Ben Eggens hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the game, Jelle Alberts was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Giersbergen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rijt Eendracht the free kick. After a rather tough play, Giersbergen's Jelle Alberts got a free kick in the 12th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnold Breinburg in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nathan Savenije saved Giersbergen from getting behind. When Reinier ter Averst came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Giersbergen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reinier ter Averst couldn't finish the play. Arnold Breinburg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nathan Savenije read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Ate Zegeling managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rijt Eendracht's supporters rose to their feet, but Ate Zegeling was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nathan Savenije breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 28 minutes into the match, Giersbergen's goalkeeper Nathan Savenije had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ate Zegeling. If Arnold Breinburg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnold Breinburg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nathan Savenije having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinier ter Averst in the 36th minute of play forced Rijt Eendracht's goalkeeper Teo Joppets to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ate Zegeling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Nathan Savenije tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Arnold Breinburg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ate Zegelings short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Nathan Savenije to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reinier ter Averst was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Ferdinant Nagel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Giersbergen's supporters rose to their feet, but Ferdinant Nagel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teo Joppets breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Arnold Breinburg came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Rijt Eendracht fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnold Breinburg couldn't finish the play. Rijt Eendracht's Teo Joppets proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Rijt Eendracht from getting a goal against them. Teo Joppets made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Reinier ter Averst sent off a good shot on target. Ferdinant Nagel charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ferdinant Nagel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Giersbergen getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Ferdinant Nagel hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnold Breinburg in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nathan Savenije prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Rijt Eendracht's Teo Joppets got control of the ball when Reinier ter Averst tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Reinier ter Averst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, Giersbergen's goal looked a bit too open when Arnold Breinburg came free, but Nathan Savenije reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute, Ate Zegeling left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rijt Eendracht fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Giersbergen's Nathan Savenije played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ate Zegeling in the 96th minute of play.
