Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mark Kristoffers started the match with the kick off. Teo de Boer made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Hette Muskee sent off a good shot on target. Zwiggelte FC's Bram Boeve got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hette Muskee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bruil's Donny Soer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mark Kristoffers in the 17th minute of play. Zwiggelte FC's Teo de Boer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Zwiggelte FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpected shot in the 20th minute by Hette Muskee got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Tonny de Gooijer fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zwiggelte FC's protests and gave Tonny de Gooijer a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Bruil booed when Zwiggelte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tonny de Gooijer didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Zwiggelte FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Henry Steyns hit a great ball. Otto Oosterman was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 28th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Carel van der Saar fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bruil's protests and gave Carel van der Saar a yellow card for diving instead. Carel van der Saar hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Donny Soer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mark Kristoffers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ted Broos hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. With 35 minutes on the clock, Jeroen Nijhof commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 43rd minute, Bram Boeve made a precise shot to the right of Donny Soer. Bruil's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Bram Boeve received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Donny Soer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Zwiggelte FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hette Muskee to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Hette Muskee managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bruil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hette Muskee was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Remond Jacobs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carel van der Saar struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Teo de Boer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bruil. Denny Roorda hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After having played for 60 minutes, Hette Muskee managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bruil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hette Muskee was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Zwiggelte FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hette Muskee came free, but Teo de Boer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Bram Boeve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Bruil lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
