In the 5th minute, Co Zeldenrust left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cartils fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Cartils's goal looked a bit too open when Matthijs Oldenbeuving came free, but Oscar Hassel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Teroele booed when Cartils was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert-Jan Frankena didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Reinier Akkerman fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cartils's protests and gave Reinier Akkerman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, one of Cartils:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cartils. Bjorn van Rijswijk placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Japke Ewald in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Oscar Hassel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Cartils's zone, Japke Ewald stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Hassel came out of the goal and Japke Ewald tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 22 minutes, Matthijs Oldenbeuving managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Teroele's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matthijs Oldenbeuving was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Japke Ewald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, Teroele's goal looked a bit too open when Co Zeldenrust came free, but Sven Theuws reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute Ger Siemers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven Theuws saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Co Zeldenrust had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matthijs Oldenbeuving made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Cartils got a freekick which was hit by Maikel Wilbrink. Cartils's Oscar Hassel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthijs Oldenbeuving in the 53rd minute of play. Oscar Hassel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthijs Oldenbeuving, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. A collision led to Cartils getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Reinier Akkerman hit a great ball. After 67 minutes, Toni Penders mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cartils and the Teroele players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 67th match minute, Cartils was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toni Penders to maneuver through the defense. 72 minutes into the match, Cartils's goal looked a bit too open when Japke Ewald came free, but Oscar Hassel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cartils's Oscar Hassel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthijs Oldenbeuving in the 76th minute of play. Japke Ewald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Niels-Jan Oosterhof charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Niels-Jan Oosterhof the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Co Zeldenrust came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Cartils fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Co Zeldenrust couldn't finish the play. 88 minutes into the game, Ger Siemers recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sven Theuws. Ger Siemers showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Co Zeldenrust's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 92ndth minute, Sven Theuws skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Oscar Hassel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matthijs Oldenbeuving went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
