Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Maarten Klijnstra made the kick off and thus started the match. 5 minutes into the game, Klaus Veentjer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Appen SV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hennaard the free kick. After 5 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Appen SV! Lucas Kuijsten placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Bart Sloedingen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Gijs Lokin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 10 minutes, Maarten Klijnstra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hennaard's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maarten Klijnstra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gijs Lokin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maarten Klijnstra in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th match minute, Appen SV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boukjan Bosschaart to maneuver through the defense. Max Veldman scored 0-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gijs Lokin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpected shot in the 33rd minute by Klaus Verbeek got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Arjen Oosterhof fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karel van Bronckhorst having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arjen Oosterhof to make the kick off. Klaus Verbeek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Appen SV's Klaus Verbeek in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hennaard's goalie prevented a goal. Karel van Bronckhorst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arjen Oosterhof in the 54th minute of play. Lucas Kuijsten's shot from long distance in the 64th minute was not bad at all, but Appen SV's Gijs Lokin knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Hennaard's Max Veldman got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Appen SV getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Taco Perk hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Martin Meertens during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 72 minutes into the game, one of Appen SV:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Max Veldman put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Gijs Lokin. If Max Veldman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Taco Perk hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Appen SV's Gijs Lokin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Appen SV from getting a goal against them. Appen SV's Gijs Lokin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maarten Klijnstra in the 94th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maarten Klijnstra in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gijs Lokin prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
