Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when René Zon kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Elco van Asten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gertjan Erenstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from René Zon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sponturfwijk S.V.'s Gertjan Erenstein proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Sponturfwijk S.V. from getting a goal against them. In the 8th minute Maikel Lindenbergh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stijn van Harten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eddy Scheffer during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eddy Scheffer kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After having played for 11 minutes, Maikel Lindenbergh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sponturfwijk S.V.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Maikel Lindenbergh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 15 minutes of play, Overeis S.C.'s Elco van Asten made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gertjan Erenstein was left in no man's land by his defense there! If René Zon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elco van Asten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Gertjan Erenstein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute Jens Weggemans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stijn van Harten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maikel Lindenbergh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute Maikel Lindenbergh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stijn van Harten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Overeis S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Maikel Lindenbergh came free, but Stijn van Harten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Jens Weggemans managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sponturfwijk S.V.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Jens Weggemans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stijn van Harten breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 37thth minute of the game Maikel Lindenbergh who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Overeis S.C.'s Stijn van Harten was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jens Weggemans's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stijn van Harten read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Elco van Astens short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Gertjan Erenstein to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Lucas Onrust charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucas Onrust the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Jens Weggemans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stijn van Harten having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Overeis S.C.'s Lucas Onrust got a free kick in the 54th minute. A hard shot 59 in the game by Jens Weggemans from a close distance when the talented Stijn van Harten managed to make a qualified save. Overeis S.C.'s players were relieved. In the 63rd minute, René Zon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Overeis S.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Sponturfwijk S.V.'s zone, René Zon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gertjan Erenstein came out of the goal and René Zon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elco van Asten in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gertjan Erenstein prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Jens Weggemans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd match minute, Sponturfwijk S.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaap Deuring to maneuver through the defense. Overeis S.C.'s Luuk van der Linden couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sponturfwijk S.V.. Sponturfwijk S.V.'s Gertjan Erenstein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elco van Asten in the 86th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Overeis S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Maikel Lindenbergh came free, but Stijn van Harten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute, Maikel Lindenbergh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
