Vlieghuis's Gijs Swerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geert Arend Saarberg in the 17th minute of play. Jack Grijpstra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Jack Kruiswijk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geert Arend Saarberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match, Jack Grijpstra got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jack Kruiswijk was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Gijs Swerts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jelle Roelofs, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Prinsenpeel's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
