After a rather tough play, Nederland HC's Max Westerhof got a free kick in the 2nd minute. In the 6th minute Thijs van Zijl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Riemer Cremers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thijs van Zijl in the 8th minute of play forced Nederland HC's goalkeeper Riemer Cremers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 11 minutes, Gerard Staal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Evertsoord and the Nederland HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th minute, Gerard Staal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th minute of the match Kees Lurling sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Huub Verheije skillfully saved the ball. After 13 played minutes Stephan Borker rounded Evertsoord's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Nederland HC's zone, Theo Sneijder stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Riemer Cremers came out of the goal and Theo Sneijder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 21 minutes, Tommie Oortwijn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Evertsoord and the Nederland HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Evertsoord getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Tommie Oortwijn hit a great ball. Gerrit Kuijsten hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. When Evertsoord's Theo Sneijder in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nederland HC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 28th minute of the match Sander den Hertogh sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Riemer Cremers skillfully saved the ball. In the 34th minute, Pieter-Jan Mussies hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nederland HC's Stephan Borker got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Riemer Cremers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thijs van Zijl in the 40th minute of the match. After 42 played minutes Nederland HC got a freekick which was hit by Co Kleefstra. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jelmer Bleiswijk during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jelmer Bleiswijk hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute, Stephan Borker made a precise shot to the right of Huub Verheije. Evertsoord's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. With a little luck, Nederland HC's Riemer Cremers got control of the ball when Thijs van Zijl tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Thijs van Zijl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nederland HC's Riemer Cremers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theo Sneijder in the 77th minute of play. In the 80th minute Theo Sneijder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Riemer Cremers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thijs van Zijl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Riemer Cremers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Theo Sneijder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Riemer Cremers having to interfere. Thijs van Zijl could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Riemer Cremers made a huge save. Riemer Cremers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thijs van Zijl went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score.
