Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Floris Bleiswijk made the kick off and thus started the match. If Hubert Zuurman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 9 played minutes Meer HC got a freekick which was hit by Erben Zuiverloon. 12 minutes into the match, Arjan Wel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ruben Vledder. Nijkleaster's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arjan Wel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Floris Bleiswijk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nijkleaster's supporters rose to their feet, but Floris Bleiswijk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michel Lurling breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd minute Tonnie Merenga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Vledder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Tonnie Merenga came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Meer HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tonnie Merenga couldn't finish the play. Rein de Zee charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rein de Zee the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 37 minutes into the game, one of Nijkleaster:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Arjan Wel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ruben Vledder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hubert Zuurman's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Michel Lurling firmly grabbed it by the left post. The referee gave Nijkleaster a penalty, 49 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rein de Zee, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Meer HC's Michel Lurling. 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tonnie Merenga to strike the kick off in the second half. When Tonnie Merenga came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Meer HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tonnie Merenga couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Nijkleaster getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Wilfred Kromme hit a great ball. Meer HC's Auke Stuijvenberg got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Nijkleaster's Wilfred de Freitas got a free kick in the 60th minute. Meer HC's Michel Lurling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Floris Bleiswijk in the 67th minute of play. Hubert Zuurman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Meer HC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Arjan Wel hit a great ball. After having played for 73 minutes, Hubert Zuurman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nijkleaster's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hubert Zuurman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Arjan Wel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meer HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arjan Wel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruben Vledder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ruben Vledder made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Arjan Wel sent off a good shot on target. If Arjan Wel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. Arjan Wel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 94thth minute, Ruben Vledder skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tonnie Merenga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ruben Vledder was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tonnie Merenga showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 98 minute of play.
