Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tonnie Merenga started the match with the kick off. When Slijkwijk HC's Felix Remmelts in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Meer HC's goalie prevented a goal. Felix Remmelts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tonnie Merenga's late challenge caught a Slijkwijk HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tonnie Merenga helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Meer HC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Tonnie Merenga hit a great ball. Felix Remmelts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Michel Lurling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Slijkwijk HC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Hans Veltrop hit a great ball. After 24 played minutes Meer HC got a freekick which was hit by Erben Zuiverloon. Erben Zuiverloon's late challenge caught a Slijkwijk HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erben Zuiverloon helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th minute, Erben Zuiverloon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, Franck Plescher got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tonnie Merenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Anton Ottens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michel Lurling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Remmelts in the 40th minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Meer HC's Tonnie Merenga dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Anton Ottens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tonnie Merenga, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Slijkwijk HC's goalkeeper Anton Ottens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Tonnie Merenga put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Anton Ottens. If Franck Plescher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the match, Slijkwijk HC's goal looked a bit too open when Arjan Wel came free, but Anton Ottens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Meer HC's Auke Stuijvenberg to fire away a dangerous shot which Anton Ottens despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 78 played minutes Slijkwijk HC got a freekick which was hit by Franck Plescher. Arjan Wel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anton Ottens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play.
