Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sipke Eylens started the match with the kick off. When Maurits Terpstra fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eerbeek FC's protests and gave Maurits Terpstra a yellow card for diving instead. Maurits Terpstra kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Lennart Waard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roland Carel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Eerbeek FC's zone, Koos van den Bergh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lennart Waard came out of the goal and Koos van den Bergh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19th match minute, Eerbeek FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jelle van der Linden to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Plaggenborg booed when Eerbeek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jelle van der Linden didn't get a good kick on the ball. Plaggenborg's Jan Aalst couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Eerbeek FC. In the 26th minute, Koos van den Bergh left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Plaggenborg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Japke Bartels showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sipke Eylens in the 31st minute of the match. Koos van den Bergh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute Koos van den Bergh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lennart Waard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lennart Waard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roland Carel, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After the first half Plaggenborg were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Koos van den Bergh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 57th minute Sipke Eylens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Japke Bartels saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Plaggenborg's goalkeeper Japke Bartels, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Kruit in the 61st minute of play forced Plaggenborg's goalkeeper Japke Bartels to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jelle van der Linden hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Sipke Eylens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Japke Bartels tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th match minute, Plaggenborg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eddy Telkamp to maneuver through the defense. Lennart Waard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roland Carel, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Robert-Jan Vrede charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robert-Jan Vrede the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Plaggenborg's Robert-Jan Vrede got a free kick in the 84th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Eerbeek FC's Ron Nyemanting tried to score from far away in the 85th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Remond Arnolds in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Japke Bartels prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roland Carel might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lennart Waard. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roland Carel ran back to his position shaking his head. Henry Salens took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lennart Waard. Eerbeek FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Plaggenborg walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
