Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bram Terpstra got the match started through his kick off. After having played for 3 minutes, Sebastiaan Schaap managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zevenaar FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastiaan Schaap was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bram Terpstra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mike Zevenhuizen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Billy van Gessel in the 12th minute of the match. After 13 played minutes Loenersloot got a freekick which was hit by Robert-Jan Opdam. Harry Nijsse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 16 played minutes Zevenaar FC got a freekick which was hit by Billy van Gessel. Daniël Oosterman was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 18th minute. Loenersloot's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a defensive mix-up in Zevenaar FC's zone, Bram Terpstra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Corné Pruischer came out of the goal and Bram Terpstra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mike Zevenhuizen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Billy van Gessel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jim Sneijder charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jim Sneijder the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 29 played minutes Loenersloot got a freekick which was hit by Jim Sneijder. 31 minutes into the match, Harry Nijsse notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Loenersloot's Mike Zevenhuizen. Mike Zevenhuizen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Daniël Oosterman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Harry Nijsse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Daniël Oosterman came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Loenersloot fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniël Oosterman couldn't finish the play. If Daniël Oosterman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Mike Zevenhuizen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Nijsse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniël Oosterman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corné Pruischer having to interfere. Daniël Oosterman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 61 minutes, Harry Nijsse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zevenaar FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harry Nijsse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Billy van Gessel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harry Nijsse in the 74th minute of play forced Loenersloot's goalkeeper Mike Zevenhuizen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harry Nijsse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Loenersloot's Robert-Jan Opdam pulled a muscle in his leg after 82 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After a rather tough play, Zevenaar FC's Olof Karelse got a free kick in the 83rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Billy van Gessel got free with Mike Zevenhuizen in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Harry Nijsse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zevenaar FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Harry Nijsse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mike Zevenhuizen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Zevenaar FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Zevenaar FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
