David van der Stoel made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Klaus Graaf sent off a good shot on target. David van der Stoel was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Kevin Damstra capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kevin Damstra really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Dick Karelse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Herman Plagge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Klaus Graaf who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of David van der Stoel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Robin Bleiswijk charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robin Bleiswijk the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Everloo HC's Robin Bleiswijk got a free kick in the 21st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emile Roorda got free with David van der Stoel in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Eexterveen booed when Everloo HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Youri Jacobs didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Klaus Graaf managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eexterveen's supporters rose to their feet, but Klaus Graaf was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David van der Stoel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. David van der Stoel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kevin Damstra's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Herman Plagge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daan Breinburg in the 39th minute of the match. Daan Breinburg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Herman Plagge read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. If Dick Karelse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute Dick Karelse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herman Plagge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dick Karelse was the one to do the kick off. Daan Breinburg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Harris van Nieuwstadt's late challenge caught a Everloo HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Harris van Nieuwstadt helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Eexterveen getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Harris van Nieuwstadt hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Everloo HC's goalkeeper David van der Stoel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Damstra in the 65th minute of play forced Everloo HC's goalkeeper David van der Stoel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David van der Stoel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Damstra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 77 minutes, Klaus Graaf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eexterveen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Klaus Graaf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Everloo HC's Daan Breinburg got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daan Breinburg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Herman Plagge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David van der Stoel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klaus Graaf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 94 minutes, Klaus Graaf made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Everloo HC's David van der Stoel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
