Han Knops kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gert Hendriks in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcel Oss saved Veenebrugge HC from getting behind. The long shot by Nico Hohenstein in the 14th minute really tested Marcel Oss's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Casper Brugmans might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcel Oss. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Casper Brugmans ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcel Oss was a little too slow when Gert Hendriks got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 1-0. Job van Beukering didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Veenebrugge HC's Heiko Sybring shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Heiko Sybring received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Job van Beukering tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Heiko Sybring had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Heiko Sybring fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Job van Beukering having to interfere. Job van Beukering took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kelvin Ebbinge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Kelvin Ebbinge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The tension between the IJmond and the Veenebrugge HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, IJmond's Cobus Zomerdijk got a free kick in the 55th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Heiko Sybring managed to get in a good position for a shot. Veenebrugge HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Heiko Sybring was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Job van Beukering breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kelvin Ebbinge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kelvin Ebbinge struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Job van Beukering didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Veenebrugge HC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kelvin Ebbinge in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Job van Beukering prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 65 minutes, Han Knops mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Veenebrugge HC and the IJmond players grew even worse after the yellow card. Han Knops kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Kelvin Ebbinge blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Job van Beukering having to make a save. Veenebrugge HC's Marcel Oss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gert Hendriks in the 81st minute of play. After 82 played minutes Veenebrugge HC got a freekick which was hit by Han Knops. In the 85th match minute, IJmond was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Baalman to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Veenebrugge HC's Arjen Brunt tried to score from far away in the 86th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Kelvin Ebbinge's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Job van Beukering read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. After 90 minutes, Arne Blank mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Veenebrugge HC and the IJmond players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Veenebrugge HC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Arne Blank hit a great ball. If Casper Brugmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95thth minute of the game Casper Brugmans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Veenebrugge HC's Marcel Oss was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
