Heioord's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gert Jan Plenter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 6 minutes into the game, Boudewijn Lever was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Landsmeer FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Heioord the free kick. A collision led to Landsmeer FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Boudewijn Lever hit a great ball. In the 7th minute of the match Daniël Ommen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ruben Boswijk skillfully saved the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Auke Pals during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Landsmeer FC's Auke Pals got a free kick in the 10th minute. Gido Oosterhof received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Ruben Boswijk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Heioord's Serge Kuijpers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dirk Jan Heerspink in the 15th minute of play. Hette Sloedingen struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Ruben Boswijk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Heioord. Gert Jan Plenter hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Ruben Boswijk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hette Sloedingen in the 28th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Heioord's goal looked a bit too open when Dirk Jan Heerspink came free, but Serge Kuijpers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruben Colen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ruben Boswijk. Landsmeer FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stefano Oosting during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Stefano Oosting kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Landsmeer FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniël Ommen was slow to take the kick. During this time Heioord's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hette Sloedingen in the 45th minute of play forced Landsmeer FC's goalkeeper Ruben Boswijk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dirk Jan Heerspink made a kick off. 57 minutes into the game, Hette Sloedingen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ruben Boswijk. Hette Sloedingen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Dirk Jan Heerspink sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gido Oosterhof had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hette Sloedingen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Boswijk having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gido Oosterhof got free with Ruben Boswijk in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Landsmeer FC's Boudewijn Lever got a free kick in the 79th minute. Stefano Oosting was shown his second yellow card after 83 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 84 played minutes Landsmeer FC got a freekick which was hit by Stefano Oosting. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hette Sloedingen in the 85th minute of play forced Landsmeer FC's goalkeeper Ruben Boswijk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Heioord booed when Landsmeer FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boudewijn Lever didn't get a good kick on the ball. 97 minutes into the match, Landsmeer FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hette Sloedingen came free, but Ruben Boswijk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Landsmeer FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Heioord's performance. The match ended with a win for Heioord.
