Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Scharendijke FC's Bram Iepstra started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4th play minutes David Meyer shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Serge Kuijpers and just under the crossbar into goal. Serge Kuijpers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Meyer in the 9th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ruben Colen during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 10 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Heioord! Serge Kuijpers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Meyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Ramon Melis managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Heioord's Gido Oosterhof fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ben Kostermans kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Hette Sloedingen was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 45th minute. Heioord's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 46 played minutes Scharendijke FC got a freekick which was hit by Rik Ensing.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hette Sloedingen to strike the kick off in the second half. If Hette Sloedingen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gido Oosterhof scored 2-3 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ramon Melis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Anthony van der Meijde's late challenge caught a Heioord's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anthony van der Meijde helped the player get up and apologised. When Hette Sloedingen came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Heioord fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hette Sloedingen couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Scharendijke FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Bram Iepstra hit a great ball. 80 minutes into the game, Ate Zeeman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Scharendijke FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Heioord the free kick. Scharendijke FC's Anthony van der Meijde got his second yellow card of the match in the 81st minute. The referee ordered Anthony van der Meijde off the ground. Scharendijke FC's Ramon Melis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gido Oosterhof in the 84th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hette Sloedingen in the 99th minute of play forced Scharendijke FC's goalkeeper Ramon Melis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
