The referee ignored Wordragen FC's protests and gave Gerwin Kloppenburg a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Wordragen FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Gerwin Kloppenburg hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, Everlo's Martien Melis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Johannes Been narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Riemer Stuifzand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frans Senden having to interfere. Everlo's Frans Senden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurits Diggele in the 17th minute of play. Martien Melis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johannes Been having to interfere. In the 28th minute Maurits Diggele shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frans Senden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 32 in the game by Martien Melis from a close distance when the talented Johannes Been managed to make a qualified save. Wordragen FC's players were relieved. Riemer Stuifzand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wordragen FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ralph Pals was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frans Senden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Martien Melis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johannes Been having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maurits Diggele was the one to do the kick off. Ralph Pals kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After having played for 63 minutes, Riemer Stuifzand managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wordragen FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Riemer Stuifzand was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jouke Roeles struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Johannes Been didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Everlo. Martien Melis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johannes Been having to interfere. Henry Bijl's late challenge caught a Wordragen FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henry Bijl helped the player get up and apologised. Frans Senden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurits Diggele in the 82nd minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Wordragen FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
