Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fred Hateboer started the match with the kick off. Emil Dagelet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eddy de Vogt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rijswijk's Jef van Bronckhorst got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pascal Heebels hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Emil Dagelet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joeri van den Berg, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. The supporters of Rijswijk booed when Krewerd HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eddy de Vogt didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Jef van Bronckhorst fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rijswijk's protests and gave Jef van Bronckhorst a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd match minute, Rijswijk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jef van Bronckhorst to maneuver through the defense. Jef van Bronckhorst took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Filip Ijspol. Filip Ijspol dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 33 played minutes Krewerd HC got a freekick which was hit by Eddy de Vogt. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pascal Heebels during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Joeri van den Berg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Joeri van den Berg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filip Ijspol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Hateboer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joeri van den Berg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Joeri van den Berg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Hateboer in the 59th minute of play forced Krewerd HC's goalkeeper Filip Ijspol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jef van Bronckhorst received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Filip Ijspol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jef van Bronckhorst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Krewerd HC's goalkeeper Filip Ijspol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emil Dagelet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joeri van den Berg went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 76th minute of the match Serge Even shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emil Dagelet showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Fred Hateboer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Filip Ijspol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Fred Hateboer in the 82nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Krewerd HC's Filip Ijspol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Hateboer in the 84th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Guus Rogaars got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joeri van den Berg in the 90th minute of play forced Rijswijk's goalkeeper Emil Dagelet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emil Dagelet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joeri van den Berg, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After 95 played minutes Krewerd HC got a freekick which was hit by Jeroen Wermans. Jef van Bronckhorst in the 97thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Filip Ijspol, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The Rijswijk players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Krewerd HC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
