Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) In the 7th minute Berry Kramer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diderik van Rhijn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the game, Paul de Mol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lier FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Priesterink the free kick. Lex Walregt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jochem Blanker having to interfere. If Lex Walregt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andreas Huizing's late challenge caught a Priesterink's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lier FC's Andreas Huizing got a free kick in the 26th minute. 29 minutes into the game, Priesterink's Lex Walregt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jochem Blanker made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Bernard van Bommel's late challenge caught a Priesterink's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernard van Bommel helped the player get up and apologised. Bernard van Bommel hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Marick Sloedingen didn't quite understand what happened when in the 44 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Jochem Blanker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lex Walregt in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Berry Kramer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Berry Kramer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diderik van Rhijn having to interfere. Diderik van Rhijn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sjef Traa, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. With a little luck, Lier FC's Jochem Blanker got control of the ball when Harm Heulmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 64 played minutes Priesterink got a freekick which was hit by Ricky van der Wiel. Lier FC's Frederik Kauffeld couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 65th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Priesterink. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Lex Walregt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Priesterink's supporters rose to their feet, but Lex Walregt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jochem Blanker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Berry Kramer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Diderik van Rhijn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Priesterink's zone, Berry Kramer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diderik van Rhijn came out of the goal and Berry Kramer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Berry Kramer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diderik van Rhijn having to interfere. If Johannes van Bronckhorst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sjef Traa struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Diderik van Rhijn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lier FC. Diderik van Rhijn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sjef Traa in the 91st minute of play. If Sjef Traa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
