Kurt Folkers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 11 minutes into the match, Wijst FC's goalkeeper Nigel Maasland had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Meindert Hulscher. Kurt Folkers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nigel Maasland having to interfere. Meindert Hulscher might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nigel Maasland. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Meindert Hulscher ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 20th minute Aad Hosson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Schrage saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Wijst FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Folkers came free, but Nigel Maasland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexander de Hoop during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alexander de Hoop hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Paul Scheer sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Wijst FC's Nigel Maasland didn't even have to move. Wijst FC's Nigel Maasland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Folkers in the 33rd minute of play. Hans de Kort hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Aad Hosson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Mark Schrage tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nigel Maasland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Folkers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Meindert Hulscher's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nigel Maasland read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Folkers in the 49th minute of play forced Wijst FC's goalkeeper Nigel Maasland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

53 minutes into the match, Meindert Hulscher had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nigel Maasland. Wijst FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Meindert Hulscher was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 61st minute, Kurt Folkers made a precise shot to the right of Nigel Maasland. Wijst FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. When Buggenem FC's Kurt Folkers in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpected shot in the 76th minute by Giel Thole got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Aad Hosson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wijst FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aad Hosson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mark Schrage breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Buggenem FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Wijst FC for a fine match.
